The cell

Those are the definitions of cell:

Living things are structured of cells.
Living things may be unicellular or multicellular.
Cell structure is diverse but all cells share common characteristic.
All cells come only from other cells.
Cells are the basic unit of structure and function in organisms.

The cell

Today, I wanna share about cell in history and definition.

In 1685, Robert Hooke from England did a research for slice of cork was underneath the microscope. He found a hollow that called cell or cellule.

Robert brown (Scotland, 1831) found a smallest thing flew in protoplasm, it called nuclei.

Mathias Schleiden (botany) and Theodore Schwann (zoologies), in 1838 found the similarity in plant tissue and animal tissue. They submitted that the living things consisted of cell and cell was a structural unit of living things.

Anton Van Leeuwenhoek was the first men who observed and described a single-celled organisms.

8 principles of living things

My first day in college, my lecture of biology said the basic to learn biology was to know there’re 8 principles of living things.

Those are 8 principles of living things:

The first, the living things consist of chemicals, such as carbohydrate, lipid, protein, and nucleate acid.
Secondly, the living things consist of cell.
Thirdly, body of the living things has the structures which concerned with function.
The fourth is the existence of energy and other substances to live.
Fifth is biodiversity. The living things have unity in biodiversity and continuity. They have interacted to each others.
Sixth is homeostasis, the living things could defend on internal condition.
Seventh is living things could do a reproduction, because of genome.
The last, living things in this century that came from previous. They’ve have done a bio-evolution. Evolution happened because of the natural section. The nature had selected of people who could survive.
